What to expect from the pilot.
ClioVision is actively being tested. These answers describe the present iOS-focused pilot, not a broad public release.
Do I need Meta glasses?
No. The iOS pilot works on the phone; compatible Meta glasses are optional for in-ear audio. Availability depends on the phone, operating system, and connected device state.
What does “Hey Clio” do?
While the app is open and active listening is enabled, it listens for the wake phrase, captures a question, retrieves a campus answer, and reads the committed answer through the selected audio route.
Can I rely on it for walking directions?
No. Treat ClioVision as a tour companion. Routes and arrival zones are still being validated; follow posted sidewalks, accessibility guidance, and campus rules.
What happens to voice and location data?
The app requests only the permissions needed for its features. See the plain-language privacy notice for the current pilot’s data-use overview.
Is Android available?
The active glasses and walking pilot is currently focused on iOS. Android support is on the roadmap and is not yet presented as available.
How can a university participate?
Use the partnership interest form on the Build With Us page. We are looking for feedback on tour content, routes, visitor needs, and practical pilot opportunities.
